My Philosophy

I help people in financial crisis get a fresh start using the bankruptcy process.  If you cannot pay your bills, if creditors are calling you at home and at work at all hours, if you owe a ton on your credit cards, if you simply can't keep up or deal with it anymore, please call me.   We can talk about the financial situation you are facing, and I will let you know what options are available to you.  There is no obligation and no pressure at all (really!)

In my opinion, people struggle for far too long, going ever deeper in debt, to avoid the stigma that is attached to the word "bankruptcy." The most important thing that I want my clients to know is that bankruptcy does NOT mean that you have failed, that you are worthless, or that there is no hope for the future. On the contrary, I think that bankruptcy is one of the law's greatest tools. It was created to give honest people (did you know Abe Lincoln declared bankruptcy?) like you hope, a fresh start for the future, and most importantly, peace of mind again.

Personalized Service

Unlike many law firms out there, I am not a high-volume bankruptcy practice that’s run by attorneys who only know you as a "case number," and who may not even meet you before appearing in court.   These attorneys have forgotten this is your first time going through this process.  In my opinion this is shameful.  

If you choose me to represent you, you will work with me and get my personalized attention.  I’m a bankruptcy attorney because I truly believe in helping you navigate your financial situation from where you are at to where you want to be. I do this with respect, honesty and client-centered attention. And unlike storefront bankruptcy petition preparers who advertise “low-cost” bankruptcies, you have the comfort of knowing you are represented by a professional attorney who will spend time with you to review your financial situation, explain your options, file your petition and represent you at your hearing.

House Calls

If you have a medical condition or do not have transportation, I do make house calls if it's convenient for you. 

Skype Calls

If it is convenient for you, we can talk via Skype instead of over the phone or in person. I am familiar with Screen Sharing and other people can always be added onto the Skype call.
